Anna’s Story

Hi I'm Anna, I'm a mother of two who enjoys an outdoor lifestyle and activities such as hiking, paddleboarding and camping. I have recently completed a sibling donation.

Why did you decide to donate your eggs? 

I kept thinking how crazy it was to me that I had all these eggs, while there were families out there who needed them. So, I researched egg donation, which is when I discovered Egg Donors UK.

How did you find your donation journey?

Everything was so easy, from getting initial information to having thoughtful discussions to make sure it was the right fit for me. I instantly felt confident and comfortable.

What did you enjoy most about donating?

The feeling I got knowing I’ve helped someone’s dreams come true. It fills me with pride.

Is there anything you would like to say to your recipient?

I would thank them for choosing my profile initially and allowing me this opportunity (especially as a sibling donor) and wish them all the happiness on their adventure as parents.

Did you feel you got the care you needed throughout your journey?

Absolutely, the communication was excellent, there was always someone at the end of the phone for any queries I had, and my emails were always responded to very quickly. Every member of the team, from the donation team to the nurses and everyone in between, was always friendly and welcoming. Even after my donation, the team were checking in and making sure I was okay.

Is there anything additional you would like to share with us?

I want to share that I am super grateful to have been able to donate my eggs and to have donated at Egg Donors UK. The team really are amazing, and it's because of them that the process is not only easy but also enjoyable.
